Note that you cannot update the order status by clicking on the product’s status like this.
Only changing the status by using the drop-down menu of that product will not modify the status completely.
You have to tick your chosen products, click on the “Choose an action” drop-down menu on the top of the order table, then choose the right status of the packages.

How to edit the order status
